Ronald GonzalezChief Executive Officer
Follow Ron on Twitter
Ron has over 18 years nursing and management experience in healthcare. He is a serial entrepreneur at heart and after several attempts at getting “start ups” off the ground, NurseTesting.com became the first to get past the naming phase. Ron continues to drive the strategy and vision of the company, in between his tanning and frequent hair cuts. His ability to motivate his employees with cold hard cash and fancy trips is uncanny. When Ron is not leading the best company in the world, he is reprising his role as -Worlds Greatest Dad-. He even has the t-shirt to prove it!
Scott JohnstonSenior Developer
A rugged outdoorsman, Scott enjoys scaring bears away from picnic baskets, catching fish with his bare hands and long walks on the frozen tundra. His diet consists entirely of steak and hot pockets and the mere sight of green leafy vegetables sends him into his panic room. He once spent three days in the belly of a salmon just to see what it was like. Later, the salmon was roasted and enjoyed by many. His free time is spent plotting the eventual downfall of broccoli. Among his greatest accomplishments is performing a perfect triple lindy into the frozen Knik River.
Eric GonzalezPresident
Follow Eric on Twitter
Eric has been our COO since 2006. He grew up in the concrete jungle of NY and now lives amongst the cattle of NC. He has spent the past 15 years in various management positions related to the finance and home healthcare industries. Eric believes that all of the world’s problems can be solved with a spreadsheet and never met a Penny he didn’t pinch. Eric prefers hot sandwiches to cold and undercooked brownies to overcooked. He possesses a geeky passion for technology and the NY JETS. When Eric is not happily working or coming up with his latest new idea, he can be found enjoying time with his wife, freeze dancing with his two little girls or reading technology blogs.
Meredith JuengelDirector of Relationship Management
As an MBA graduate of the University of North Carolina at Greensboro, Meredith has spent most of her life in the piedmont of NC. An avid traveler, Meredith studied abroad in Madrid, Spain in attempts to become more fluid in her second language, Spanish. On the weekends, you will find Meredith either at church with her husband leading the band or at the park playing with their young son (2 1/2 years old) and daughter (7 months). Having worked with Prophecy since 2008, Meredith sees team members as an extended family and looks forward to expanding products and services focused on bettering the quality of care in the Healthcare Industry.
Melissa SpanglerVice President of Client Experiences
Melissa has enjoyed working for the best organization ever, since 2007. After recently completing her MBA through Ashford University, Melissa finally achieved her most treasured goal, becoming a mom. In her free time… oh wait, with a 6-month old, there is no free time! Yet, Melissa finds time to serve as a chairman for the National Foundation for Transplants, and enjoys planning events and raising awareness for the need for organ donors. She is passionate about eating, but in the kitchen could burn water, and loves being outdoors. As the Vice President of Client Experiences, her team ensures that each client’s needs are met- from finding the solution that meets their unique needs, through implementation, training, and support. Melissa loves the challenge of her role, especially trying to keep up with all of Eric’s new ideas!
David McParlandAccount Executive
David has been working with the Prophecy team since 2010. As an account executive he works closely with hospitals to identify their testing needs, set goals, and implement solutions to reach those goals. David says one of the most rewarding feelings is when goals are met and clients call back to share their positive experiences with Prophecy. Outside of work David is working towards his Business degree and enjoys spending his time with family and friends. He is also a huge fan of billiards, darts, and attempts to play golf.
Director of Clinical Validation
Leslie Jeffries is our Director of Clinical Validation and has over 15 years experience as an RN. She works with our enthusiastic clinical team in conducting job analysis workshops for new clinical competency exams. She spends a great deal of time analyzing statistics and metrics for our clients. When not busy with the above, she’s researching things from the EEOC and DOL. Outside of Prophecy, Leslie and her husband are busy with three girls, a farm full of black Angus cattle, and rumor has it that she makes a mean pan of homemade lasagna.
James Ostmann Sr.Chief Nursing Officer
Believe it or not, our superhero CNO has spent a quarter century working in the healthcare field and 18 years as an RN. He has played an instrumental part in the development of Prophecy’s clinical content over the past 4 years. On his off time, Jim likes to garden, fish, hike, work with wood, ski with his boys and save lives at 30,000 feet. Jim is a true renaissance man who loves watching sunsets and enjoys long walks on the beach while holding hands with his most valued treasures. Jim has a special appreciation for wine and certified black angus beef, and not necessarily in that order. He currently owns 5 black angus cows and don’t worry, they are all alive and well.
Jason HallChief Technology Officer
Jason lives in Fort Collins, Colorado. Enjoys walks in the woods without mud or stray rabid dogs. Listens occasionally to 80s hair bands. Past accomplishments include salsa making, sock folding and achieving rank of Webelos scout. Still hopes to one day learn how to tie ties and sharpen knives properly. Relaxes by playing golf, fly-fishing, and drinking limeade. He’s a regular contributor to the office swear jar, which helps support underprivileged children. He’s here to solve problems, figure out stuff, and get things done, but only after a few competitive games of ping-pong and a half-dozen Red Bulls.

Chris CarringtonChief Clinical Officer

With leadership expertise in the acute care hospital environment, healthcare staffing industry, and healthcare staffing technology business, Chris’ dual business and clinical perspectives help her excel at organizing chaos. Chris uses her 30 years of experience in the healthcare industry to serve as a clinical resource addressing all clinical issues and supporting organizations with ongoing Joint Commission Compliance. She brings a passion for quality and un-wavered business ethics to relationships with both internal and external customers. Chris’s most recent achievement was being inducted into Cambridge Who’s Who in 2010 for demonstrating dedication, leadership and excellence in healthcare consulting.
Chris HamptonSenior Developer
Raised on an idyllic private island in the Caribbean, Chris spent his formative years having undersea adventures with his pet crab Sebastian. However, his life of peaceful bliss was soon cast asunder when the family’s island home was destroyed because his parents had “angered the gods”. After fleeing to a small, unknown town in southwest Ohio, he lived in quiet reflection. Upon reaching young adulthood, Chris struck out on his own to find his place in the world, eventually settling in northern Colorado. There he lives with his wife, two children, five dogs, three cats, two elephants and a lemur named King Julian. Notable achievements include: saving baby hippos from poachers at the zoo, a Super Bowl MVP award, finding oil in Antarctica and helping Al Gore invent the Internet.
Anita Q. NurseProphecy Mascot
After receiving her nursing degree, Anita began her career as an R.N. at Seattle Grace Hospital in Central Washington. Using her skills and experience, she compassionately aided many patients through difficult times following surgeries, lava and radiation exposure, liver spots and psoriasis. In an unfortunate turn of events, a magic garden gnome transformed her into a stuffed bear as punishment for accidentally stepping on his dandelions. Undaunted, she happily joined Prophecy Healthcare in the summer of 2010 as the company mascot. Although she can neither breathe nor move, she now spends her days illustrating the value of comprehensive competency exams, seeking to better the healthcare industry through her dedication and hard work.
