Psychiatric / Behavioral Health RN Competency Exam
The Prophecy Psychiatric Exam is appropriate for RN’s who will be working in acute care psychiatric units. This exam encompasses knowledge for psychiatric disorders commonly seen in psychiatric units, including alcohol and drug dependency and anxiety disorders. In addition, knowledge of suicidal acts and withdrawal effects of medications is covered.
This assessment has both a medication administration as well as medication identification/recognition component that is specific to the Psychiatric/Behavioral Health unit. This piece of the assessment is extensive in patient education on commonly used medications as well as side effects, classifications, and therapeutic regimens.
There is no need to administer a separate Pharmacology component.
