Situational Assessments evaluate a clinician’s interpersonal skills using scenarios experienced in typical healthcare settings. Results from Situational Assessments can help identify which clinicians would benefit most from various educational initiatives. Prophecy helps you determine a focus area to maximize your clinicians’ hours spent training i.e. customer service, prioritization skills, or conflict management.
Clinical Assessments not only identify areas of need for individual clinican’s hard skills, but also assist in identifying key clinical knowledge, skills, and abilities that need to be developed as a whole within a department.
Should an employee transfer, the clinical assessments can be used to identify areas of skill deficiencies for training prior to transferring departments. In addition, with unlimited access and optional parallel forms, clinicians can test post-education to ensure that acquired knowledge will be transferred to the job.
All three assessments tools can be used for incumbent staff evaluations. However, one piece of the Behavioral Assessment is only validated as a pre-hire tool: the Attitude component. Since, incumbent staff are already familiar with their current placement and the culture of their facility, the Attitude component will show results based on current cultural norms instead of the individual’s perceptions of attitude.
